Croppin' at Arbour Lake

What a great time today at Arbour Lake!
Backing up the time machine.... one of the girls from work brought this little community newsletter in to work several weeks back that advertised a scrapbooking crop once a month for the next four months for only ten bucks. Of course we jumped all over that and Selena, Holly and I grabbed up the last three spots for March. Because yesterday was a 12+ hour day at work,  I spent the night before last fumbling around my studio packing up a little bit of everything that I thought I might need. Then today, I packed up the minivan and headed out...

Oh wait! First things first... WW weigh in this morning. down 4 pounds. That was super great news and put me at a total weight loss of just 13.8 pounds in the past five weeks. So... as a reward, Nate and I went for breakfast. And THEN I packed up the mini van and headed out!

Of course, I was the first one there, so I got to pick the table by the plug in and the windows. Critical details, if you ask any scrapbooker. As it was, it didn't take long to make a huge mess out of my space! Can you imagine, it took only three trips from the car to drag in all this mess and it was all essential!! sometimes I wonder how I get anything done in all that chaos.
Anyhow, all in all, we had a great time...had a nice simple dinner, got lots of good work done and only got a little bit of glimmer mist on the tables!
oh, look.. I spread out on the floor too, right to     the furthest wall! Don't even ask me how many times things slid down from the stacks and piles and hit the floor...startling all those sitting around me. I swear poor Holly jumped out her skin more than once as a heavy punch or trimmer or whatnot crashed to the floor. I need more horizontal storage!

The host of our crop was kind enough to take this photo of the three of us for posterity. It was a funny moment, for reasons best left off the blog. Let's suffice to say that likely I will carry a bruise instead of a memory for a few days at least .. thanks for that Holly! (please note: Holly's guilty look!)

oh.... and because I worked pretty diligently today trying to get my class sample prepared, and I am QUITE proud of the finished project, I will share a couple sneak peeks of the album that I will be teaching at Scrapbookers in May:

well...whatdya think? are you curious to see more?
